The Agriturismo La Rossa is a farmhouse situated in Morsasco, a few kilometres from Ovada and the spa
town of Acqui Terme, tucked away in a picturesque valley amidst vineyards and lush green hills of the Alto
Monferrato region. The old farm is a welcoming and peaceful place, with two rural buildings that surround
the spacious lawn. It is possible to organize play events, small open-air meetings, moments of relaxation or
come and enjoy the typical cuisine that the restaurant serves with home-grown produce from the vines,
vegetable garden and orchard.
The Priarone family propose: the Farm Experience, a project aimed at those looking for new emotions
through direct experiences in cookery, wine cellars and countryside; the “kitchen test” to fulfil Piemontese
recipes with a final tasting of the dishes at La Rossa, or “AgriWineBar” evenings, an opportunity to taste
local wines entertained by background music; or the joint work grape-harvest, or even the didactic factory
for children, and last but least “Agriwellness” with weekend breaks to discover genuine Piemontese food
together with thermal spas.
The farmhouse boasts a warm and intimate setting, surrounded by picturesque countryside and total
relaxation. For ecological lovers, you may carry out relaxing walks comforted by Enrico’s instructions, a
graduate in Natural Sciences, who will know how to advise families and students on how to discover
nature. The vegetable garden, the orchard, the greenhouse and hen house offer fresh produce on which
the cuisine is founded, where the hand-made ravioli and guinea-hen reared on a natural feeding diet
The amphitheatre garden in front of the farmhouse, rebuilt on the foundations of an ancient monastery,
makes it particularly suitable for families with children, or who those who want to organize play initiatives
or small open-air meetings. But a holiday at La Rossa is recommended also for those who appreciate
genuine, good wine and food from the Ovadese territory (Dolcetto d'Ovada, Barbera del Monferrato,
Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato).
In the Autumn season, the Agriturismo organizes the joint work grape harvest: on the third Sunday in
September “Time for Dolcetto”, and on the first Sunday in October VENDEMMIA COLLETTIVA“Time for
Barbera”; two moments not to be missed, allowing to dive into the past under the guidance of an expert
oenologist that, during the harvest will explain and illustrate the morphological characteristics of the vines
and chosen fruits.
All will be accompanied by a merry lunch in the vineyard and a “sinoira snack”. A convivial moment to
celebrate the end of the working day, that is a typical example of the family atmosphere to be felt here at
the Agriturismo La Rossa.
